1. The tournament will follow swiss pairing format. Teams will be paired based on their win-loss results for all rounds following the first pairing.

2. Map rotation will be randomly selected by Blackthorn. No team will play the same map in the main rounds more than twice.

3. The non-host team will choose to play as COG or Locust for each map.

4. No starting games until all players’ status has been set to ready.

5. Games started without the approval of the referee will be restarted.

6. It is the responsibility of both teams to ensure the result is reported correctly.

17. The official map rotation will be selected by Blackthorn

General Rules:

18. Weapon slides are allowed.

19. No leaving the normal boundaries of a map.

20. No Invisible Man.

21. No Invisible Weapons.

22. No Infinite Grenades.

23. No shooting while roadie running.

24. No use of the Chainsaw on yourself.

25. No land surfing.

26. No skydiving.

27. No air walking.

28. No instant chainsaw.

29. No cancelling the chainsaw animation.

30. No performing the chainsaw animation with a weapon other than the lancer.

31. If a character falls below the normal boundaries of a map, they will be considered as having been killed during that Round.

32. The team that doesn’t host will choose to play as the COG or Locust for each game

33. All players must play as a different COG or Locust Character.

34. Any performance of known glitches or map exploits other than those stated will be classed as cheating and appropriate action will be taken.

35. Quitting out of a round will be considered a suicide. If the host quits out of a round their team will forfeit the round. If the host quits out of a round, the game will continue with the appropriate round score (updated with the forfeited round) and teams will be set to play the next round starting on the appropriate side of the Map.

36. Breaking any rules listed above will result in a forfeit of the game.

37. In the case of a hardware malfunction, the game will be restarted if less than 5 minutes has passed. If more than 5 minutes has elapsed then the tournament referee will make an informed decision based on the scores at the time of disconnection.

38. Any player found tampering with hardware will be disqualified.

39. If players are more than 5 minutes late for a scheduled match then they forfeit the game.

40. If a game is started without the referee's approval then the game will be restarted.

41. Breakage of any rules may result in a disqualification and is at the referee’s discretion.

42. When a player has died the controller must be placed on the table with the camera focused on a team-mates point of view. Anyone found cycling through cameras will receive a warning. 2 warnings will result in a forfeit.

Xbox 360 Controllers:

43. PLEASE BRING YOUR CONTOLLER. If a player is caught using the turbo abilty on any controller, that players team will lose that round.

44. Keyboard & mouse adapters are not allowed.

Code of Conduct:

45. No tampering with or removal of any cables or associated hardware.

46. No use of vulgar language by players, coaches or spectators.

47. No use of vulgar language directed at an opposing player.

48. Abusive, discriminative, racist or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated.

49. No excessive taunting or celebration by players or coaches.

50. No communication between players and spectators during a match.

51. No intentional forfeiting or manipulating tournament results.

52. No unsportsmanlike physical contact.

53. No throwing objects at another person.

54. Verbal abuse of Blackthorn, or judging staff will not be tolerated.

55. Any player, or spectator found to be in breech of these rules will receive a warning.

56. A second warning may result in disqualification or removal from the venue at the staff discretion.
